Southern Air Craftsmen Guest Speaker- Author Bruce Gamble

For the April meeting of the Southern Air Craftsmen (Our model airplane club!) we had a special guest speaker. Author Bruce Gamble was kind enough to join us and tell us a bit about his works. Bruce was one of our customers back in the 1980's before he became an author. He has written a few books you may be familiar with. "Black Sheep One" is the story of Pappy Boyington. "The Black Sheep" is the tale of VMF-214 in WWII. And his latest is "Darkest Hour: The True Story of Lark Force at Rabaul-Australia's Worst Military Disaster of WWII".

Bruce shared some of his research and photographs with the group. He talked about how being a modeler developed into his career as an author.
